Rain (a poem)

Rain

The heat-wave continued for more than a week,
To the poultry generation- who lives
by their smartphones- in an unreal
and unruly virtual vagueness-
The sun had never been this bright,
The weather had never been this hot,
even the air is suffocating
for the tiniest water particles,

Nature is also waiting;
Clouds will sing a powerful song,
People will dance in the rain break free,

In this city,
a busy high-way get drenched by blood,
Water has no color, but blood is red,

Green raindrops shower is unprecedented,
they wash away all the filth of
indoors and outdoors,
on the streets, roads, and highways-

Clouds are crowded everywhere
they thunder “We want Justice!”
“Climate change needs to be done,
there is no peace without it”

The corrupt humanity looks at them
in an unknown fear,
It had never seen a rain like this.
